Went to school yesterday for semester enrolment. WAHH 5 modules next sem.. I think I will die of brain damage... must really biah harder liaoz...

Dear accomapanied me the whole of yesterday!! He had been so busy recently with freelancing, and thats why I really am happy and appreciate him for spending his time with me yesterday... Eventhough its not a date or what lah.. but I just love it when hes around. Everything becomes fun - even if it means going to school. =) I accompanied him to SP to book his boat practical... lol.. SP is huge... Ended the day with a nice hug from him =) awww I'm starting to miss him already...

Anyway, it was a really nice day yesterday.

I am eating snake and posting an entry while working... haha.. I had such a fruitful day yesterday... went to teach tuition in the morning.. tat ah boy is really improving.. To me lah.. I improvised a new set of rules with him with his studying. And of course, the new set of rules can help save my poor throat. With these stuffs, he will listen and remember more attentively!! Told him about the STAR GRADING SYSTEM (reward him stars for homework done or positive behavior during tuition). He has to accumulate 50 stars to get a surprise from me. However, if he leaves the room / runs around without my permission, doesn't sit still / hold an item other than 1 pencil or 1 eraser at a time, stars will be deducted. And then, there is also another system called the CHANCE GAME. This is a game of practice reading. For example, if the passage is a short one, he will be given 3 chances to read a wrong word / forget a work / give wrong explaination on the word. For every onward mistake he makes, an extra homework will be given and has to be handed in during the next tuition. He will be given time to look through the passage before he starts reading the passage. During the time, he is supposed to ask me the words he does not know. I will then tell him. If the words are not taught in his textbooks, I will fill in the HAN YU PIN YIN for him, otherwise, I will only tell him orally. HAHA! I tell you, it works! Now, he is more careful and detailed. He will look through every single word before he starts reading the passage. It also builds up his confidence, and enables him to learn to prepare throughly before he does his homework, so that he can score more STARS and get a surprise from me sooner. haha.. at least he is a easily contented kiddo, thats why this system works for him.
